Matthew 14:30

...beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord save me!

This is from the story of Jesus walking on the water in Matthew's Gospel. Go back and read it if you have the chance. It is short. Peter gets out of the boat and begins to walk toward Jesus but begins to sink overcome with fear. Jesus immediately stretches out his hand and saves him. The focus is usually on Peter not having enough faith but Peter does not hesitate to cry out to the Lord. Thank goodness for St. Peter! We are all like him in so many ways.

May we always have his instinct to cry out to the Lord for help.
