John 6:18-20

Artwork by Fr. DeWit, Photo by Fr. Augustine Foley

The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they began to be afraid. But he said to them, "It is I. Do not be afraid."
John 6:18-20

Bishop Robert Barron comments, that "all types of storms will inevitably arise. But Jesus comes walking on the sea. This is meant to affirm his divinity."

Jesus also walks on the water in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark and calms the sea in Luke, disproving the errant notion of some that John is the only Gospel writer that claimed the divinity of Jesus Christ.
